Another Wolfcop: Blu-Ray Review
Arriving this week on Blu-ray and DVD is Lowell Dean’s awesomely entertaining follow-up to “Wolfcop”. I am a huge fan of the first film and thankfully, the sequel, “Another Wolfcop” delivers in almost every way. The slightly elevated budget even allowed for the addition of Kevin Smith. We were lucky enough to present “Another Wolfcop” at last year’s Popcorn Frights Film Festival and the audience seemed to agree with me.
Leo Fafard returns as the title character and the rest of the main cast has also come back for seconds. This time around, Lou Garou aka Wolfcop must take on businessman, Sydney Swallows who has a sinister plan involving a new hockey team and his Chicken Milk beer. Dean ups the ante here and goes bigger in every way, but not too big since the budget does limit things. What it doesn’t limit is the craziness. We get more bloody mayhem and not the lame CGI kind. We even get a more bizarre sex scene than the fist film offered.
“Another Wolfcop” is the perfect film for anyone interested in seeing a movie with the word “Wolfcop” in the title, you know who you are. It never tries to be anything it’s not and although it’s not a flawless film, it is an enjoyable addition to the series. Let’s hope we get “Wolfcop, Once Again” in the next few years.
