Christopher Robin: Blu-Ray Review

Arriving this week on Blu-ray is Marc Forster’s live-action Winnie-the-Pooh tale, “Christopher Robin”.  The film centers on a now grown-up Christopher (Ewan McGregor) who is married with a daughter of his own. Christopher has become a slave to his work, not only forgetting about Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, Rabbit and the rest of his childhood friends, but also putting his job ahead of his family. He has grown into an unhappy man that is unable to see what is truly important in his life. Those familiar with Stephen Spielberg’s “Hook” will be able to tell exactly how “Christopher Robin” will play out. Despite the similarities between the two films, “Christopher Robin” is far superior. There is much more heart here and it can be a bit of a tear jerker. If you are a fan of Winnie the Pooh and looking to add a solid family film to your collection, I recommend picking up “Christopher Robin”.
