Exterminators of the Year 3000: Blu-Ray Review

exterminators 3000

Arriving on Blu-ray this week is the 1983 Italian post-apocalyptic film “Exterminators of the Year 3000”, which is a knock off of 1981’s “The Road Warrior”. This doesn’t mean that this poorly dubbed cheap imitation isn’t entertaining, because it actually it.

Like most post-apocalyptic stories, this one takes place on a desert landscape where water is a rare commodity. A young boy named Tommy (Luca Venantini) has partnered up with a loner thief named Alien (Robert Iannucci) in search of water within a secret location. Tommy wants to bring the water back to his people who will die without it and Alien wants to keep it for himself.

They aren’t the only ones in search for the water, there is also Crazy Bull (Fernando Bilbao) and his gang of biker punks. Of course there would be a a beautiful girl involved in all of this too. This one has the lovely name, Trash (Alicia Moro).

“Exterminators of the Year 3000” is oh-so-bad, but never boring. If you are a fan of the film, than picking up this disk might be right for you.
