Mr. Mom (Collector’s Edition): Blu-Ray Review

Arriving this week on Collector’s Edition Blu-ray is the 1983 comedy, “Mr. Mom”.  Although Michael Keaton had don’t quite of big of television work and co-starred in 1982’s “Night Shift”, it was his starring role in “Mr. Mom” that made him a bonified movie star.  For this reason alone, it makes a whole lot of sense for this film to receive a “Shout Select” release.  You couldn’t ask for a better cast for an 80’s comedy. Although Keaton is front and center with Teri Garr at his side, the supporting cast includes Christopher Lloyd, Jeffrey Tambor, Martin Mull, and Ann Jillian.

Sadly, Keaton isn’t part of the bonus material included.  Never-the-less, if you are a fan of Keaton and don’t own “Mr. Mom”, this should be added to your collection. Now, here is hoping that we eventually get a Collector’s Edition of “Johnny Dangerously” which arrived in theaters the year following “Mr. Mom.
