Never Too Young To Die: Blu-Ray Review

Arriving on Blu-ray this week is the 1996 John Stamos action flick, “Never too Young to Die”.  Although this was never a big hit, having Gene Simmons playing a hermaphrodite villain against Vanity and one-time James Bond star George Lazenby makes is a must-watch.  Is “Never too Young to Die” any good?  The answer is nope, but it’s the kind of 80’s B-movie trash that still manages to be entertaining.

Lance Stargrove (Stamos) is a gymnast-turned-spy after he learns that his father (Lazenby) was killed by the evil Velvet Von Ragner (Simmons).  With the help of his father’s lethal associate, Danja Deering (Vanity) Lance goes on a mission to take down Ragner and foil his plan to poison the city’s water supply.

“Never too Young to Die” is ridiculous and that is fine by me.  My biggest issue is that it doesn’t feature enough Robert Englund, who only has a couple of scenes.  There isn’t really much in the form of bonus material but if you have been waiting for an HD release, you will probably want to pick this release up.
