Sleepaway Camp II/ Sleepaway Camp III (Collector’s Edition): Blu-Ray Reviews
This week, Scream Factory is releasing Collector’s Edition Blu-Rays for “Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers” and “Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland” and below are the reviews for both titles.
Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers (Collector’s Edition)
Pamela Springsteen takes over the role of Angela, which was originated by Felissa Rose in “Sleepaway Camp II”. Set five years after Angela’s killing spree at Camp Arawak, she is now a counselor at Camp Rolling Hills, but under a new identity. Things start out harmless enough with normal camp traditions like sing-a-longs and swims in the lake. Unfortunately there are some campers that get out of line by either having sex or using profanity, and that is a no-no for Angela. It doesn’t take long for the killing to start back up again and before you know it, there aren’t any campers or counselor’s left alive.
“Sleepaway Camp II” is definitely “campy” but it’s also fun. Fan’s of the series should definitely pick up this release because not only does the HD transfer look fantastic, but it is also jammed packed with plenty of bonus feature.

Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland (Collector’s Edition)
As much as I enjoyed the first two films, “Sleepaway Camp III” just doesn’t do it for me. I know it has its’ fans, but the whole thing is just silly. However, I am someone who must own all 3 films in the series even though I only like the first two. I m a completest. I am sure many of you are like me.
Angela (Springsteen) is back ones again at her old murdering-grounds, however the camp now has new owners and goes by the name Camp New Horizons. The big difference with this new camp is that is mixes the tough city kids with the rich spoiled ones. Yeah, that won’t end well with Angela now posing as a camper that she killed on the way there.
Again, I am not a fan of the 3rd film but it does have its moments. Again, much like the Collector’s Edition release for “Sleepaway Camp II”, the HD transfer looks great and there are a nice selection of bonus features for the fans.
