The Gruesome Twosome + Inferno on Blu-Ray
Arriving this week on Special Edition Blu-ray are “The Gruesome Twosome” and “Inferno” courtesy of Arrow Video.
“The Gruesome Twosome” is the 1967 Herschell Gordon Lewis horror-comedy starring Elizabeth Davis and Chris Martell. If you are a fan this Florida set splatterfest, you will absolutely love what Arrow has put together. Aside from the High Definition transfer and a few bonus features, the vampire epic “A Taste of Blood” has been included. Being a native Floridian, it’s always great to see locally produced horror (which is rare) get a treatment like this.

Also arriving this week on Special Edition Blu-ray is Henri-Georges Clouzot’s “Inferno”. This documentary sheds light on the abandoned 1964 film that was never able to recover from fights, complications and a heart attack suffered by the film’s director. The seemingly limitless budget couldn’t fix the issues that constantly plagued the production. Documentaries about the filmmaking process are usually quite fascinating and this one is considered by many one of the best.
