A Wrinkle in Time: Blu-Ray Review

Arriving on Blu-Ray, 4K Ultra, HD & DVD this week is Ava DuVernay’s “A Wrinkle in Time”, based on the novel by Madeleine L’Engle. I can’t say I was a fan of this one. Despite having a wonderful cast and relatable themes of love and accepting one’s self, “A Wrinkle in Time” becomes way to dependent on CGI which takes away from the story’s core message. Storm Reid is wonderful as Meg and Reese Witherspoon is delightful as Mrs. Whatsit but I just felt the film as a whole needed to follow the “less is more” motto when creating the fantasy elements.
