Mad Max (Collector’s Edition): Blu-Ray Review

mad_max

Arriving this week on Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray is George Miller’s 1979 postapocalyptic-classic “Mad Mad”, starring Mel Gibson in the title role. Even though it went on to spawn two sequels (“The Road Warrior” and “Beyond Thunderdome”), the original is considered by many the best in the series.

Although “The Road Warrior” is my personal favorite of the three films, “Mad Max” is still quite amazing and I have never seen it look as great as it does in this release from Shout! Factory.

There are tons of bonus features, including new interviews with Gibson, as well as Director of Photography David Eggby. This is definitely a MUST-BUY for the “Mad Max” fans and I am hoping that Shout! will release a Collector’s Edition of “The Road Warrior” in the near future.
