Re-Animator (Limited Edition): Blu-Ray Review

Horror fans are in for quite a treat this week as one of the most beloved horror films of all time is getting a 4K restoration Limited Edition Blu-ray release.  Not only has Arrow Video included a 4K restoration of the unrated but, but the second disk includes a 4K restoration of the Integral version which is nearly 20 minutes longer and available now for the first time in the US.

The newly remastered Uncut version looks and sounds fantastic, though I have yet to check out the Integral cut.  Being the “Re-Animator” fan that I am, it’s shocking that I had yet to own any home-media version of the film prior to Arrow’s release. Packed with a ton of bonus features, one of my favorites would be the reprint of the 1991 comic book adaptation.  If you are a fan as well, only 10,000 units were produced so grab yours right away.
