The Man in the Iron Mask (Collector’s Edition): Blu-Ray Review
Available now on Blu-ray is the 20th Anniversary Edition of 1998’s “The Man in the Iron Mask”. Leonardo DiCaprio was riding high after the success of “Titanic” and this was his follow-up project. However, the young actor was the film’s weakest link, delivering a laughably bad performance that won him a Golden Raspberry Award. What makes “The Man in the Iron Mask” so much fun is the casting of Jeremy Irons, John Malkovich, and Gerard Depardieu as Aramis, Athos and Porthos. It is these three fine actors that make the film worth watching. 20 years later, “The Man in the Iron Mask” still holds up and Shout! Factory has delivered a new 4K transfer which should make fans very happy.
