The Sin Seer: DVD Review
Arriving on DVD and digital video this week is the UMC (Urban Movie Channel) film, “The Sin Seer”, which stars Isaiah Washington, Lisa Arrindell Anderson, Michael Ironside, and C. Thomas Howell. The first thing I should mention is that this is definitely a faith-based thriller. Those who do not like their entertainment to be preachy should stay clear of “The Sin Seer”. Having said that, even those who love faith-based films, might not find much to enjoy here either.
After his release from prison, Grant Summit (Washington), takes a job as a private security guard for psychic private investigator Rose Ricard (Anderson). When a police case goes cold, Rose steps in and uses her abilities to help solve them. When Rose decides to take a case involving a missing boxer, things suddenly become deadly and Grant is the only one she can count on.
“The Sin Seer” is not only bad, but also way too preachy for my taste. I usually try to stay clear of these types of films, but being a fan of Ironside and Washington, I figured I would give it a look. The direction by Paul D. Hannah is uninspired and the writing is laughable. Make sure you don’t see “The Sin Seer”
