Trespass (Collector’s Edition): Blu-Ray Review

To be honest, I never would have ever thought there would be a Collector’s Edition release to 1992’s “Trespass”. Don’t get me wrong,  I am a Walter Hill fan and a fan of the film as well, but it wasn’t until a revisited the film with the new Shout Select release that I understood why they felt it deserved this release.

I actually remember “Trespass” coming out on Christmas and not doing well theatrically upon its’ release.  Producer Bob Gale even brings it up during an interview on the disk.  This was not a movie to release on Christmas Day, it was destined to fail.  Having said that, “Trespass” is  a solid action movie that delivered something new at the time.

If you are a fan of “Trespass”, this release is worth adding to your collection, as it has five new bonus features along with some vintage elements.  I can’t help but wonder if Ice T and Ice Cube would have gone on to star in a string of buddy films if “Trespass” would have been a hit upon its’ theatrical release. They could have been right up there with Corey Haim and Corey Feldman.  I can just picture a 90’s buddy cop movie with Ice T and Ice Cube headlining the poster.
